My Journey

Music has always been a passion of mine. At 15, I used my savings from working as a sailing assistant instructor to buy my first electric guitar and audio interface. During the height of the pandemic in Hong Kong, I spent all my time playing instruments and recording songs, with my Logic Pro library filled with thousands of idea snippets and unfinished projects.

In recent years, I’ve decided to make my music more accessible. I’ve created a Spotify account, purely out of fun, so that I could add my songs to my own playlist. One thing led to another, and now I have on average 9000 monthly listeners and my top song with over 200,000 streams.

All my ideas pretty much start off in my bedroom, with just a guitar riff, chord progression, melody for a chorus… It’s difficult to streamline my process for creating music, since so many times ideas bounce off each other, things don’t sound right, I have more ideas… It’s messy yet exciting, much like building a startup, which is what makes the process so fun.

I write and record all the parts myself, including keyboard, guitars, bass, drums, and sometimes even vocals, and mix and produce everything myself too, including the cover art. I then share my music with a distributor to license and upload my music. I am still releasing new music from time to time, so stay tuned!!
