Overview
My friend Theo and I wanted to collaborate on a project that combined our shared interest in Taoism and fulus (符箓), protective talismans believed to ward off evil and deception. We set out to design a piece of clothing that could serve as a wearable symbol of protection. The final collection included a skirt, jacket, hoodie, and balloon pants, each covered in red calligraphic symbols reminiscent of traditional talismans.
